The characters that we chose are from a pachislot game called Sengoku Arashi. In the game, there's a screen above the fruit machines reels that shows the story and the fights between the characters depending on what kind of symbols you get and how well you do.
Most of the research material we get is from watching youtube videos of japanese nerds playing the game. There is an official website as well, which has brought us a little information about the game and characters.
Ennah is going to cosplay Chacha...
...and Dalin chose the overly flamboyant Akechi Mitsuhide.
We are quite excited to try all the new materials and techniques on fabric. Some of the things in armour constructing we are planning to try out are craft foam and probably worbla. Some of the weirder materials we are planning to use are polyurethane insulation material and Mr. Muscle, hardcore sewer destruction product. But in the end, you never know what kind of materials you are going to use in the final products when you are only in the planning process.
So Ennah has already bought some of the fabric materials for Chacha, but Dalin is little bit behind and she's still planning out for Mitsuhide's outfit. That's probably because she is a master in procrastinating and starts to do things when it's almost too late. So Ennah has to slave Dalin around or she will have a gigantic panic attack and be awake for fifty hours straight making the costume.
In the next posts we are going to tell you a little bit more about the process, plans, sketches and tryouts. But before that Ennah needs to finish a Shingeki no Kyojin commission costume for her friend.
